The Fiat 500C Missoni was created to pay homage to Angela Missoni, who has long been involved in AIDS research. Precisely because of her commitment, the creative director of the Italian maison also won the 2017 Award of Courage, an amfAR award designed to honor the commitment in the fight against the HIV virus.
The Italian convertible has been painted with horizontal lines that recall the Sintra fantasy of the Missoni collection dedicated to the home, while inside the passenger compartment the seats have been partially covered with leather. Some original Missoni fabrics were instead applied on the seats, on the backrests and on the piping, thus creating an exclusive interior capable of recalling the style of the maison.
The specimen was auctioned for $50,000, at the end during the 2017 Fashion Week charity event, and the generous donor was thus awarded the Fiat 500C Missoni, a synthesis of the made in Italy excellence in fashion and of customized customizations.
Entering the Officine Amarcord collection, the Fiat500 Missoni has been hybridized with the innovative Hy-Tron technology.
The specimen was also published in the well-known automotive magazine QuattroRuote.
